Terms of service

What the service is

DocuBorder is a self-help document service. You supply the information, and we generate a document from a fixed, versioned template. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. No attorney reviews your document, and using the service does not create an attorney-client relationship. The service is not a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney.

We do not offer immigration forms, court filings, certified translations, powers of attorney, or documents that transfer custody or parental authority.

What we cannot promise

Airlines, border officers, consulates, clinics, insurers and other authorities decide for themselves what documents they accept, and their rules change. Our pages say what the sources we cite say and what they do not establish, but we cannot promise that any authority will accept a document.

You are responsible for checking the current requirements with the authority or company that matters for your trip, for choosing the right document, and for signing it (and, where the document has a notary block, signing it in front of a notary public). A U.S. notary public is not the same as a notario público in Mexico.

Your information

You are responsible for the answers you give. Enter only information that is true and that you are entitled to use, and only about people you are entitled to act for. Check the preview carefully: the document will say exactly what you entered.

How we handle your information is described in the privacy policy.

Prices, preview and payment

The preview is free and carries a watermark. The price of each document is shown on its page and again at checkout, in US dollars, and is a one-time price: there is no subscription. Payment is handled by Stripe on a page it hosts. Your order is created when you start checkout and the document is generated when Stripe confirms the payment.

The bundle delivers several documents from one set of answers as separate PDFs for one price.

Delivery and your copy

After payment the download appears on your order page, normally within seconds. The download link is short-lived and can be renewed from the order page. We delete your answers and your PDF 30 days after delivery, so download and save your document. If you lose the order page before then, write to legal@docuborder.com with the email on your Stripe receipt and we will find your order.

Refunds

We refund the full price, with no questions, in any of these cases: we fail to deliver your PDF; the PDF does not match the preview you approved; you are charged more than once for the same order; or you ask within 14 days of the purchase. A full refund withdraws the download. You do not need to explain why.

To ask, write to legal@docuborder.com with your order number or the email on your Stripe receipt. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, and your bank decides how long it takes to show.

After 14 days we refund only for the first three reasons above, and we may make exceptions in good faith. Refunding does not remove our right to keep the minimal order record described in the privacy policy.

Orders placed by an AI agent

You can use an AI agent (through our REST API or MCP server) to prepare a document for you. The person or organization that authorizes the agent is responsible for what the agent submits and agrees to these terms. Today a person still pays on the Stripe page; the agent receives the checkout link and then collects the document once it is paid.

The same preview, price, delivery and refund rules apply to orders placed by an agent.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to make a document that is false or misleading, to impersonate another person, to act for someone you are not entitled to act for, or for any unlawful purpose. Do not try to overload, probe or circumvent the service; automated use is welcome through our API within its published limits.

Our content

The templates, page text and software are ours or our licensors’. When you buy a document you may use that document for the purpose it was made for. You may not resell the templates or republish our pages.

Limits of liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed trip, and our total liability for an order is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits a right or a liability that the law does not allow us to limit. This section needs the attorney’s review.

Governing law and changes

[governing law and venue: to be set by the attorney]

We may update these terms; the version in force when you order applies to that order. This page was last updated on 2026-10-19.
